Meet The Managers Team

Michelle Thompson
Michelle started Unique Homecare back in 2016, after working in care herself she noticed a gap in the market for a homecare company that not only provides exceptional care for their clients but also for their staff too. And that is exactly what she has done! Michelle provides direction and control to the companies operations and provides strategic guidance to ensure the company achieves its mission and objectives.

Lauren Turner
Hi, my name is Lauren, and I’m the Care Manager at Unique Homecare.
I’ve worked in the care sector for several years and have a genuine passion for supporting people and making a positive difference in their lives. My journey with Unique Homecare began nearly three years ago, when I managed the Garstang area. I’m now proud to have taken on the role of Care Manager for the whole of Unique Homecare.
Over the years, I’ve developed a deep understanding of what person-centred, high-quality care truly means. I believe that building strong relationships with both clients and carers is at the heart of delivering compassionate, consistent support. I’m dedicated to ensuring every individual receives care that enhances their independence, comfort, and wellbeing.
Outside of work, I’m a mum to two young children and enjoy spending quality time with them and my partner. Family life keeps me grounded and reminds me daily of the importance of care, empathy, and community values that I bring into my professional role as well.

Lawal
Hi, my name is Lawal, and I’m the Regulation and HR Lead at Unique Homecare.
My background is in law, which provides a strong foundation for my role in ensuring compliance, supporting our people, and maintaining the highest standards across the organisation. I joined Unique a year ago and have since developed a deep understanding of the care sector and the vital role our team plays in supporting individuals to live well and independently.
I’m passionate about creating a positive working environment where our staff feel valued and supported, as I believe this directly reflects in the quality of care we deliver. Working at Unique has allowed me to combine my legal knowledge with my commitment to people, making a real difference both behind the scenes and within the wider team.

Gemma

Beth
Hi, my name is Beth, and I’m a Mentor within the Health and Wellbeing Team at Unique Homecare.
I’ve been part of the Unique family for eight years now, joining straight from college and continuing through to becoming a mum and raising a family of my own. Unique has truly been a big part of my life and personal journey.
In my role, I mentor new starters and support other team members out in the field. I’m proud to be one of the “eyes and ears” of Unique, helping to ensure the highest standards of care and supporting the team to deliver the best possible service. I really enjoy my role and the opportunity it gives me to make a difference every day.
Outside of work, I love spending time with my family and going for walks with my lovely dog, Tia. Family life and being outdoors help me stay grounded and remind me why I’m so passionate about the work we do—providing care, compassion, and connection to those who need it most.

James
Hi, my name is James, and I’m a Health and Wellbeing Team Member at Unique Homecare.
I joined Unique Homecare in 2017 after starting my career as a primary school teacher. I have always been passionate about making a difference in people’s lives, and while teaching was rewarding, I soon realised that my true calling was in care. Joining Unique allowed me to continue supporting others in a more personal and meaningful way.
Since becoming part of the team, I’ve had the opportunity to grow both personally and professionally. I’ve represented Unique Homecare by delivering talks for Skills for Care, promoting the benefits of working in care and sharing my experiences with others in the sector.
What I enjoy most about working at Unique is the strong sense of purpose and teamwork. Every day, I see the positive impact we make by helping people remain independent and comfortable in their own homes. Being part of a caring and supportive organisation makes my work both fulfilling and inspiring.
Outside of work, I’m a keen crown green bowler, proudly representing my town and county. The sport keeps me active and connected to my community, values that mirror the spirit of care and connection we uphold at Unique.
